Rev. Marlene M. MacKenzie
Rev. Marlene M. MacKenzie is a woman who loves and cherishes the faithfulness of God. One of her favorite songs is “He is Faithful...Faithful to Me,” by Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. And two favorite scripture verse is “what the enemy meant for bad, God turned it around for good” and “for I know the plans I have for you...plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future.
Next to being a Woman of God, she is extremely grateful for her calling as a Wife to her best friend and steadfast Tom MacKenzie and Mom to a handsome and vivacious Thomas
She graduated from the University of Toronto after which her calling and destiny guided her towards a Bachelor in Theology and certification in Marriage Counselling. Her strong passion for Single Adults influenced her to become Director at Kennedy Road Tabernacle Church in 1997. Five years later, she commenced DivorceCare Recovery Program for Adults and Children who experienced the sting of separation and divorce. Among her many noteworthy titles and positions, in 2004, Marlene became Co-Founder for Plan and Prepare (www.planandprepare.org) a 10-week Enrichment Seminar designed to prepare Single Adults to choose wisely. Marlene believes a Happy marriage is no accident. Secret to success is planning and preparing. Finding a partner and having a happy marriage cannot be left to chance. As many of us spent years in school receiving an education that will prepare us for success in our chosen career/profession, we should be just as careful about planning for success in marriage.
Through Plan and Prepare, over 50 couples have celebrated beautiful wedding days and are enjoying marital bliss. In May 2008, Marlene organized the first ever “Singlesfest” held at the Crossroads Centre where Single Adults’ Spirit, Soul and Body were beautifully touched by the hands of God. This Annual Conference is designed to honour, pamper and motivate Single Adults. Her vision is for Single Adults to be infused with God’s beautiful love, His miraculous Power of restoration and to celebrate beautiful marriages. Marlene also hosts “Queen for a Day.” A special annual event designed for Single Moms.
Through her journey of overcoming broken relationships, she has shared hope with many who are suffering from the pain of a broken heart. She has spoken at Single Adult and Women’s Conferences and in churches. She has been heard on the Missions’ field in Ukraine, Armenia and India. Marlene frequently hosted CTS Nite Lite Program and has been a guest on Joy 1250 and WDCX with Neil Boran.
The Fashion runway has been no stranger to Marlene. She has held professional careers such as Sales Manager, Property Manager, Risk Management, Real Estate Agent and a Trainer. In addition she is an accomplished Toast Masters Graduate and presently sits on the Board for Canadian Christian Ministries, Brampton Ministerial Team and she is the Chair of Women of All Nations.
Marlene possesses a unique ability to recognize gifts and talents in many as she counsels, encourage and motivate many to reach their potential. With great humility she draws them to believe in the transforming power of God and to remember He has a plan for their lives. Marlene Maria MacKenzie, resides in Brampton, Ontario and Pastors at Hope Restored Brampton Ministries with her husband.
Evang. Jaime Carrington
Born in the beautiful Island of Trinidad, Evangelist Jaime N. Carrington migrated to Toronto, Canada at the age of ten. At age fourteen, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior under the Ministry of Pastor Hector Mayers, the former Pastor of the Metropolitan Church of God in Toronto. With much discipleship and mentoring, she became aware of her predestined calling and began to declare with passion, the good news of the Gospel by the age of sixteen.
In 1999, Jaime founded “Pursuing Purpose Ministry/Services”, an evangelistic; Christ centered ministry, which focuses on salvation, holistic empowerment, healing, restoration and deliverance; inspiring individuals to begin “pursuing purpose with the power, passion and presence of God”. Ministering at various seminars, outreach programs, conventions, conferences, and churches, within Canada, the United States and Internationally, Jaime has been given a particular anointing and passion for change and empowerment. She desires to express the undiluted word of God through her powerful testimony and is an example of how God can and will use his people to revolutionize this world by living according to “Kingdom Principles”. Delivering the Word of God with power, she possesses an unquenchable fire that will impact each life that witnesses her ministry.
Presently, Jaime serves as a Probation and Parole Officer with the Ministry of the Solicitor General, served in the Toronto Anti-Guns and Gangs Unit and now active in the Richmond Hill Office. Formerly she worked as a Case Manager in Gang Prevention initiative after serving as a Youth Service Correctional Officer for ten years at the York Detention Centre, a Correctional Secure Detention Facility for at risk youth and young offenders. This experience has allowed her to utilize the skills she’s acquired while earning a Social Service Worker Diploma at Sheridan College, School of Applied Arts and Technology. Her knowledge of the scriptures is a testament to her disciplined study of the word, both at home and at Tyndale University and Seminary, culminating in a Bachelor of Religious Education Degree.
Positioned and released to minister to all ages, genders and races, the Lord has called Jaime for such a time as this. She prayerfully welcomes each opportunity to minister the Word of God.
Karen Redwood
Pastor Karen hails from the parish of Hanover in western Jamaica. Immediately upon completion of High School, she heeded the call of God on her life and attended Bethel Bible College where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology with Honours. Rev. Karen then attended the Caribbean Graduate School of Theology where she gained a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology, again with Honours. She later completed certificates with distinctions in Supervisory Management and Speech Writing and Public Speaking from the University of the West Indies.
Rev. Karen Althea comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience within the church and corporate society. She has served as Senior Career Development Officer at HEART Trust/NTA. She has lectured and served for over a decade at Bethel Bible College, Jamaica Theological Seminary (JTS), and the International University of the Caribbean (IUC). She has for many years trained pastors and Christian workers for ministry. She specialized in teaching and tutoring in Greek, Communication Skills, New Testament, and Psychology related courses among numerous others. Pastor Karen has volunteered many hours also to the Ministry of Justice through research at Tower Street Correctional Facility (also known as Gun Court in Kingston, Jamaica) and through psychotherapy at Victim Support Unit in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Rev. Karen has been intricately involved in community building and church planting.
Pastor Karen currently practices as a Registered Psychotherapist within the Province of Ontario, Canada. She has served in academia as well as in forensic mental health with youth who struggle with criminogenic issues and various mental health concerns. She currently manages a team of clinicians who are committed to changing the trajectory of children’s mental health. Rev. Karen is the founder of Karen Althea Ministries where she conducts weekly live inspirational vlogs on social media. She is also the founder of Karen Althea Psychotherapy where she uses her therapeutic skills to serve youth and adults with various complex traumas and acute mental health challenges, because healing is a great feeling! She is also the founder and Lead Pastor of Haven of Healing Ministries, a place where the wounded are mended. She is the author of the Best Selling book, RISE! Transforming Pain into Pillars of Strength. The book is available for purchase on Amazon. Rev. Karen is an anointed preacher and has developed an international reputation as a gifted and inspirational speaker at numerous formal and social gatherings.
